How to Set Up A Connection to Trak Auctions Image Hosting

Here's how to set up Fast Photos so you can upload images to your Trak Auctions Image Hosting account with the Fast Photos Publish feature.

You need a working account with Trak Auctions image hosting to do this.

  1. Sign In to your account at Trak Auctions
  2. Go to Image Hosting and enable FTP Access if it is not already set up. This link is located in the File Hosting Summary box.
  3. Make note of these Trak Auctions settings:
    • Root URL - Example: svr20.thump.net/1234567
    • FTP HostName - Example: ftp.svr20.thumb.net
    • FTP User ID - Example: 1234567
    • FTP Password - Note that your FTP password is not the same as your Trak login password.
  4. Start up Fast Photos and go to the Publish screen
  5. Click on Add... under FTP Accounts to create a new account for Fast Photos Publish. Now fill in these fields:
    • Account Name - pick any name you want
    • User Name - Use your Trak FTP User ID
    • Password - Use your Trak FTP Password
    • Host Name - Use your Trak FTP Hostname
    • Remote Folder - URL - Use your Trak Root URL. Make sure you add "http://" so it looks like this example: http://svr20.thump.net/1234567 with your info Root URL, of course!
    • Server Folder - leave blank
    • Connect in FTP Passive Mode - leave checked
    • Clik OK to save these settings.
  6. Now go upload some images. Make sure you have room in your Trak account to store these images!
  7. You are all set!
  8. As an option you can put a name in the Destination Folder on the Publish screen. This will put the images you upload in that subfolder - the folder will be created the first time it's used.
